We have recently received details of 2 recoveries
GN04365 – Common Buzzard
One of a brood of 3 ringed on the 8th of June 2006 at a confidential site in South Yorkshire (Buzzards were still uncommon in our area at that time).
This bird was recovered dead after a road collision on the 17th of Jan 2013 in Crowle, North Lincolnshire. 2415 days after being ringed 48KM east of the ringing site.
GR38849 – Peregrine Falcon
One of a brood of two birds ringed on the 10th of June 2012 at a confidential site in the Manchester area.
This bird was found freshly dead on the 5th of March 2012 in Drakelow, Kidderminster, Worcestershire. 268 days after being ringed 116KM South South West of the ringing site.
